St. Anthony Hospital Announces Opportunity for Non-Profit Organizations to Apply for Grants Improving Community Health

Philanthropic grants to provide critical assistance delivering services addressing health needs

Pendleton, Oregon - 20 July 2026 – St. Anthony Hospital  is inviting local non-profit organizations to consider applying for grants that support the delivery of services vital to improving health and well-being, and improving health equity.  The application period opens July 20 and runs through September 18, 2026.  Successful applicants will be notified in January 2027 for projects funded for the period April 2027 through March 2028. 

This opportunity is part of the CommonSpirit Health Community Health Improvement Grants program.  St. Anthony Hospital is a member of CommonSpirit Health.  

The grant program supports others to help address significant needs identified in St. Anthony Hospital’s most recent community health needs assessment.  The hospital conducts a need assessment every three years to help it and community partners identify and address priority health and social needs faced by residents and the region.

Michael Bilton, System Director for Community Health and Community Benefit, said, “We are intentional and focused in community outreach and programs to improve health and well being.  It is important that our hospitals use resources in ways that help address demonstrated, locally-relevant health issues. The grant program is one way we put this into practice.”  Bilton also commented on the value of working with community organizations, stating, “The grant program reflects a commitment to partnering with the communities we serve to improve community health.  Hospitals and health systems are part of the solution, but it takes a diversity of actions to strengthen overall health.”
