St. Anthony Hospital has a proud history of providing compassionate, safe, quality care and now the data shows it. Anyone may go online and view the Oregon Office for Health Policy and Research report on quality data. It will show that St. Anthony Hospital's hospital-acquired infection rate is at an incredibly low rate of 0.26 percent. This is in comparison to the national-acquired infection rate of 5.0 percent.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) require that we report a number of data sets to them for national comparisons and best practices. In the percentage of procedures meeting the standards, St. Anthony Hospital is in the top 10 percent nationally. In 2009, we exceeded the national top box score of 95 percent or better with a 97.75 percent, making us the top facility in all of CHI (Catholic Health Initiatives).
