About coronavirus
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. COVID-19 is now spreading in many parts of the United States. The virus can spread through close contact with someone who is already infected.
If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, here are some ways you can access care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
Check your symptoms using our chat box on the CHI National website. Click on the blue chat box in the bottom right corner, and get a referral to a local care center.
Before going to the hospital, contact your primary care physician for guidance. They may be able to direct you to a local testing site and help you avoid waiting in the emergency room.
We encourage you to consider virtual visits (via phone or video chat) instead of in-person visits, whether you have coronavirus symptoms or not.
If you do need immediate care, please call ahead to your nearest emergency room before you arrive. They will be able to advise you of the local procedures and best way to be seen.
Patients are allowed one visitor, with some exceptions. Please bring a mask with you if you are visiting a patient or seeking care. All patients and visitors will be screened prior to entry into the facility.

Patients with COVID-19 have mild to severe respiratory symptoms that can include fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath. Use our online symptoms checker by clicking the blue chat box in the lower right corner.
Certain behavior changes can help prevent the spread of coronavirus in our communities. Many states have implemented orders asking people to stay home and restricting large gatherings, and people are encouraged to practice “social distancing” by avoiding crowds and remaining 6 feet apart from each other while in public places.
Virtual health visits are offered for free for anyone experiencing coronavirus symptoms using the coupon code COVID19. Symptoms can include low-grade fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
