The Gala Event held on Saturday night is a festive kickoff for the holiday season followed by Family Day on Sunday. On Friday, groups volunteer their time to decorate beautiful Christmas trees that will be sold at auction during the evenings festivities. Some of these decorators have been planning their tree all year. These trees are sponsored by area business and business affiliated with the hospital. A light buffet and no host bar along with a live auction takes place during the Gala. Trees are sold to the highest bidder. Not only do the winning bidders get a beautifully decorated tree, they also get all the donated gifts under the tree. Many winning bidders get their Christmas shopping done with the purchase of one tree. Trees are delivered to the winning bidders on Sunday.

The price of a ticket to the Gala is $25.
